With the hustle and bustle of planning preparing and spending more than usual the frenetic pace of the holiday season can lead to severe stress and depression, which affects 1 out of 10 people.
Dr. Alejandro Kudisch : “The other thing is relationships. People tend to get more anxious or stressed during the holidays because either something happened that reminds them. Relationships aren’t as good.”
Dr. Kudisch suggests being realistic about life stresses in order to deal with them.
Kudisch: “In other words be realistic about our resolutions. We usually have new years resolutions and we have these big. If we set realistic expectations we are more likely to achieve them.”
Exercise and a healthy diet are positive ways to combat stress.
