Jury finds Mendoza guilty

A jury has handed down a guilty verdict against 24-year-old Cecilio Mendoza, who is accused of taking part in a home invasion and gunfight that left a Brownsville police officer wounded.
The case, which was presented at the 357th court, found Mendoza guilty of intent of murder and burglary.
According to records, mendoza shot a total of three times against officer Rolando Trujillo from the Brownsville police department when he busted the suspect burglarizing a home in February of 2007.
