Judge picked for Rubio trial – Noe Gonzalez to preside

State district judge Noe Gonzalez has been selected to preside over the capital murder trial of John Allen Rubio. His first order of business will be to hold a status hearing on Rubio’s mental competency which is scheduled for one week from today. Cameron county state district judge Arturo Nelson recused himself from the case earlier this week. Rubio is accused in the killings of his three young children.
