More than $3 million worth of marijuana has been seized at the
international bridge in Pharr. On Tuesday, US Customs and Border
Protection officers discovered the load at their cargo facility from
an international tractor-trailer. During a secondary inspection,
officials found 352 packages of marijuana mixed with jalapeno peppers.
The marijuana weighed over 3,100 pounds. Authorities seized the
narcotics and the vehicle.
