Prenatal care should start before you even get pregnant. You should see a doctor for a complete checkup. Dr. Lopez also suggests some healthy lifestyle changes.

The first prenatal doctor visit includes several tests including a sonogram to date the fetus. Along the way other tests are administered.

There are many tests that will ensure your health and that of the baby so the sooner you begin prenatal care the better your chance of having a healthy pregnancy.
