Importance of health care while pregnant

September 5, 2008 Health   Print Print   Email this Article Email this Article   No Comments

Getting the proper health care while you’re pregnant is imperative to ensure a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.
Doctors can check for problems early if they see mothers to be on a regular basis. This allows issues that occur to be treated early. Early treatment can cure existing problems and prevent others. Local Obgyn Dr. Ramiro Leal explains more about some types of pregnancy screenings.
Aside from regular visits that may identify these problems Dr. Leal recommends taking vitamins exercising at least 30 minutes a day and eating healthy.
Whether this is your first or third pregnancy it is vital that you get prenatal care. Babies of mothers who do not get prenatal care are three times more likely to have low birth weight.
