I-69 Plan Not Approved

The Texas department of transportation made a major announcement this morning regarding the official scrapping of the Trans-Texas Corridor Project, saying that it clearly was not the choice for Texans.
The ambitious multi billion-dollar project planned to stretch highways, rail lines and utilities for hundreds of miles along the Interstate 35 and Interstate 69 corridors.
Txdot executive director, Amadeo Saenz made the announcement saying the t-t-c no longer exists although dozens of other projects including the i-69 will remain as stand alone projects.
Hidalgo county judge, J.D. Salinas agrees with the decision made by txdot, as long as other regional projects are completed
Judge J.D. Salinas will meet with officials to assure that the project to make us highway 281 the main corridor from south to central Texas goes through….
that meeting is expected to take place on January 15th.
