The border fence is a reality. The department of homeland security says it is a tool they use to keep illegal immigrants and contraband out of the country. Others say their land has been stripped away as a result.some believe the border fence protects them, although it does not stretch entirely across our southern border. In the process, the government has negotiated with many Americans to buy the land their families have farmed on with sweat and tears for years.
