Hinojosa charged with DWI, Vows to fight the charge

Another Hidalgo county official has had a run-in with the law. District clerk Laura Hinojosa was arrested over the weekend and charged with suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The 43-year old daughter of US representative Ruben Hinojosa was was booked and released from the Hidalgo county jail Sunday following her arrest. A DPS trooper pulled over Hinojosa around one in the morning Sunday in San Juan. The DPS says she failed multiple sobriety tests and refused a breathalyzer. Hinojosa disputes the allegations and vows to fight the charge in court, adding it her right to refuse a breathalyzer test.
