High wind advisories are a concern to fire officials

High wind advisories have been recently issued all across the valley and with that being a big concern; the McAllen Fire Department advices us to be 100% aware of our outdoor activities in order for all of us to enjoy a safe Easter weekend. Strong winds have been no strangers to our weekly routines across the valley; recently a tree was taken down with inches of destroying a home. This is one of the many powerful reasons on why we should be aware of strong winds advisories in order to prevent other powerful tragedies from taking place. This holiday weekend as low humidity and high winds are a big worry not only because of the possible brush fires that could take place but the safety of the community.
