H1N1 Death Toll Rises in the Valley

The latest report by state health officials puts Hidalgo County in the lead with the most amounts of cases in Texas.
Five people including one man, three women and one boy, died last month from the h1ni swine flu virus in Hidalgo County. The total number of confirmed H1N1 virus cases adds up to 1,115.
Harris County ranks second, with 457 cases of the flu strain reported, 335 cases in Cameron County, 36 cases in Starr county and 16 in Willacy County. Across Texas, there have been 21 deaths and nearly 4,300 confirmed cases of H1N1 Swine Flu this year. The virus goes down in the books as the cause of the first pandemic of the 21 century.
