Today we meet a family from the Rio Grande Valley who took a stand and made a difference to a problem with a magnitude greater than we could ever imagine, forever changing the life of three children who were destined for a lifetime of hardship

Most of us have had the chance to experience the joy of being part of a family… Some have not been so fortunate.

This little girl is just one of the 129,000 children across the United States that have been removed from their homes and placed in foster care. In the state of Texas over 6,000 kids were also removed from their homes

With tears in her eyes, Elisa Chavez refers to the life she and her sister had when they were 5 and 6 years old.

Today tears have been replaced by beautiful smiles. The Chavez family of the city of mission adopted both girls. For Diana and Daniel Chavez, loving a child, any child, is second nature. While caring for a neighbor
