Garza named city manager

It wasn’t an election but Edinburg residents woke up this morning with a new city manager in place.Ramiro Garza was quickly hired by the city council last night after they fired J.J Rodriguez, who was hired three years ago. Garza has been the executive director of the Edinburg economic development corporation. Some council members said the reason for the switch was the need for a more aggressive city manager.
