Former Choir Teacher Federally Indicted

A Brownsville middle school teacher has been indicted by a federal court on charges of child exploitation and child pornography. 46-year-old Ramiro Lozano was a choir teacher for Besteiro middle school but has since been terminated. The indictment claims Lozano exploited children at least three times to place their nude images on the Internet. He was arrested in January after investigators found child pornography on a desktop and laptop computer in December of 2008. If convicted, he could face anywhere from 5 years to life in prison and a fine up to $250,000.
