Flu shots may help reduce the risk of blood clots according to a study by the University Paris Descartes.

Researchers studied more than 1400 people averaging fifty-two-years old.

The study looked at patients who had venous thrombotic embolism, or blood clots, and those that didn’t.

Researchers found the risk for blood clots dropped at least twenty-six percent after having the flu shot.

It was even less in people younger than fifty-two.
