Early voting kicks off today

Today early voting started in the state of Texas, some constitutional amendments could be added if approved. There are 10 in total. Some of the local propositions are to increase hotel taxes in McAllen in order to construct a new civic center, also elections will be held for a new mayor in the city of Alamo, and two commissioners. Elections will be held weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm and on Saturday from 7 am till 7 pm.
