Texas elections officials say more than ten-thousand republicans and 85-hundred democrats turned out on the first day of early voting yesterday.

The biggest race statewide is for governor…Where incumbent rick perry is facing a tough primary challenge in u.S. Senator Kay bailey Hutchinson and conservative activist Debra Medina. Early voting will continue through February 26th with election day on march 2nd.
