Drug Lord Arrested Days After Millions Offered in Rewards

Mexican soldiers have nabbed one of the most sought after drug smugglers who acted as a lieutenant for the Beltran Leyva Cartel in Monterrey. Hector Huerta Rios A.K.A. “La Burra” was captured in Monterrey, two days after the Mexican government announced a $2 million bounty for the head of any drug lord or $1million for any of their underlings. Officials say Huerta-Rios met with members of the gulf cartel to discuss drug distribution zones in order to avoid clashes between rival gangs. The arrest of Huerta-Rios and four of his bodyguards happened hours before the arrival of us secretary of state Hillary Clinton during her two day visit to discuss security issues.
