What began as a minor traffic stop for the La Joya police department winds up being a major drug bust
Today, the skilled officers of the La Joya police department bust a drug smuggler mere feet from their station.
“Get that camera out of here…”
Today at approximately four in the afternoon a routine traffic stop for an expired vehicle registration yielded a routine find for La Joya police officers illegal drugs.
“…its marijuana”
The drugs along with the perpetrator who also carried a small bag of marijuana in his pocket were transported to the La Joya police department for processing; there the official contents of the box were discovered.
“Officers discovered that the box contained approximately 30-40 pounds of marijuana and a 1/2 pound of coke.”
“If it turns blue…”
Officers use this narcotics test kit to determine if the substance is in fact cocaine.
“…its blue”
In this case it was.
