Driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs is not worth the risk nor the money.
If you are arrested for a dwi offense, you may be fined up to 2 thousand dollars, spend 180 days in jail… Your Texas driver’s license could be suspended for one year… In addition to the fine, a first dwi conviction results in a one thousand dollar surcharge, paid annually for three years.
According to DPS officials there is absolutely no valid excuse for driving irresponsibly.
Remember that the consequences of drinking can last much longer than your hangover and can change the rest of your life.
