Dispute Leads to Stabbing Among Mercedes Men

A dispute between two men leads to a stabbing. Mercedes police were dispatched Sunday around 2am to the 900 block of south Missouri Street. The victim is said to be in his 20′s, and was immediately transported to Knapp Medical Center were he was treated. He’s expected to make a full recovery. Authorities say they have a man, also in his 20′s, in custody as a suspect in the altercation. He’s likely to face a judge Tuesday. It is still un-clear what lead to the stabbing in the first place.
