Authorities say the body of a man found inside a white jeep grand Cherokee yesterday was apparently beaten to death.
The Hidalgo county sheriff’s office has identified the victim as 45-year -old San Juan native, John Peters. The vehicle he was in was found abandoned on Val Verde road, just south of old 83 in Donna. The investigation continues as authorities search for a motive and suspect or suspects in this case.
