Due to a recent report on the buying and selling of used vehicles in South Texas, various incidents have been reported. Now individuals are using every resource available to commit fraud, including Craigslist.
The Hidalgo County Motor Vehicle Department warns consumers of the buying of used vehicles on the street and through this website (Craigslist).
As a consumer, you need to be aware of any red flag alert from the seller.
Now that income tax return season is here, don’t let scams or criminals looking to steal your money commit fraud. Do research and make sure that what you are buying meets all of the State of Texas Motor Vehicle Regulations.
If you need to report a fraud or simply require more information, you can contact the Hidalgo County Motor Vehicle Department at 318-2158.
