Cornyn and Noriega visit the Valley

It’s only six days until Election Day, and the highest political race in Texas has the incumbent trying to hold onto a double-digit lead. U.S. Senator John Cornyn has run a tough re-election campaign against his Democratic challenger Rick Noriega.
Both candidates are aware that the Rio Grande Valley plays a key role in the election. John Cornyn was in Hidalgo today to address a pre-election luncheon.
Senator Cornyn has been endorsed by a bipartisan group of more than 70 leaders along the border.
Noriega, who was visiting the veterans of foreign wars hall in Donna, refers to Cornyn’s comments that some concerns over the sagging economy that were made at the Mclennan County republican women in Waco. He said Texans are resilient and that the economy will rebound.
