Convicted Murderers Could Get the Death Penalty

Two men convicted of the Florida turnpike slayings of a Brownsville family may very well pay the ultimate price for their crimes.
The jury has recommended the death penalty for 25-year-olds Daniel Troya and Ricardo Sanchez Jr. Both men gunned down Jose Luis Escobedo, his wife Yessica Guerrero and their two young sons.
Investigators have said they believe the killings were drug related. District judge Daniel T.K. Hurley will formally sentence the men at a later hearing.
