Convicted murderer and rapist near execution

A convicted murderer and rapist is only two days away from being executed. 36-year-old Rogelio Cannady, originally from La Feria will be executed on Wednesday for beating his cellmate to death inside the McConnell unit in Beeville 15 years ago.
Cannady had already been serving a life sentence for murdering two teenage runaways, whose bodies were discovered in an irrigation canal near La Feria in 1990.
One of the victims was identified as 13-year-old Ana Robles. Her body showed that she had been raped and strangled.
