Constable arrested for DWI for the 3rd time in 3 years

According to the Hidalgo county clerks criminal department office, the senior deputy constable arrested over the weekend for driving under the influence of alcohol has been arrested at least 3 three times for the same offense in the last three years.

45 year old Javier Hinojosa, a peace officer for the Hidalgo county precinct #2 constables office was arrested in January 2006 on DWI charges that were dismissed by Hidalgo county court at law #5.

Hinojosa also has a pending DWI charge in the same court after he was arrested in august 2009.

Saturday in Alamo, Hinojosa was charged with dwi and intoxication assault after allegedly slamming his pick up truck into an elderly couples vehicle.

If convicted, Hinojosa faces up to 10 years for each count.
