Congressman Henry Cuellar makes special visit

Good evening, Henry Cuellar stopped by the valley today in order to announce some changes he plans to make to the valley.
Cuellar met with the economic association of the Rio grandee Valley in order to make some improvements to the valley’s highways among other things. Cuellar says he wants to see more infrastructure dollars come to the border.
Officials know that the trade between Mexico and the U.S. is very important for the Rio Grande Valley as it keeps the economy a float.
With the economy at a stand still the banks are not in the giving mood, as they are not loaning money to anyone. With the second economic stimulus package, Cuellar wants to see more monetary aid the valley.
Cuellar plans to return November 17th in order to announce the giving of federal and state funds for the Rio Grande Valley. He plans to talk about giving more money to the food bank to help those who are unemployed while they look for jobs. The money they plan to help the valley with will go towards projects that have already been established.
