Shortly after 7pm tonight, border patrol agents identified a suspicious white suburban.
As the attention of the lawmen became evident the suburban sped off attempting to shake off the agents.
The chase came to an abrupt halt on mile three and Goodwin in Palmview.
Upon a close inspection of the vehicle, authorities found large quantities of drug stashed away in the backseat.
The drug was seized and the driver now faces federal drug trafficking charges.
