Carjacker Arrested

The culprit behind the carjacking of an elderly man has finally been arrested.
24-year-old Juan Eduardo Gonzalez has been arraigned in Mercedes for evading arrest and also faces charges in Harlingen for aggravated robbery.
On Monday afternoon, the elderly man in question went to pick-up his grandson from Pocket Communications on Stuart place and expressway 83. That’s when Gonzalez approached the victim, asking to use his cell phone. The elderly man was beaten and brutally dragged as his pick-up truck was stolen from him.
