Capital murder arraignment for 18 year old

Eighteen year old Justin Reese Scepanski was arrested Sunday and faces one count for capital murder after Hidalgo county sheriffs deputies say he shot and killed 21 year old Baldemar Villarreal outside his home located near 8 ½ mile line and Moorefield in mission.

Scepanski was a customer of Villarreal and, according to witnesses he intended to rob him.

Hidalgo county sheriff Lupe Trevino tells fox 2 news a specialized drug unit will continue to focus on street level drug dealing because these type of transactions are just as dangerous as any major drug operations.

Scepanski, the suspect to the county’s third homicide of the year remains behind bars on a one million dollar bond.
