Brownsville Teen Indicted on Capital Murde

Meanwhile, a Brownsville teen has also been indicted for capital murder after allegedly shooting, burning and partially burying another teen. 19-year-old Jonathan Martinez is being held with a $200,000 bond. The Cameron County Sheriff’s Office says 16-year-old Luis Talavera’s body was found near FM 511 in Brownsville on April 11. However, his vehicle was found in Harlingen, leading police to believe Martinez had intended to rid himself of the vehicle in a different city to hide his tracks.
