Brownsville Teen Charged for Standoff That Caused Lockdowns and Closures

The Brownsville Teen that held police in a standoff yesterday is
facing charges today.
17-year-old Adrian Lara is being charged with unlawful possession of a
weapon and deadly conduct.
Yesterday, police tried to arrest him in the Southmost Area in Brownsville.
They had recently tried to serve a warrant that the youth faced for a
series of burglaries, but Lara decided to hide in a ditch and hold a
gun to his head.
The standoff lasted a couple of hours with no injuries.
Lara’s bond has been set at $53,000.
