A Brownsville mother is in trouble with the law after allegedly hurting her 10-month-old child with hot water. These are the details.32-year-old Margarita Cuellar Alvarado, an undocumented immigrant, made a serious mistake when she placed her baby in water too hot for anyone to handle. When she realized what she had done, she took her boy to Valley Baptist Medical Center, and after an ER doctor examined him, he knew this was far more than just a burn.
“the description that the mother gave them didn’t match up with what the child had, and they called the police. Our investigators determined that something else had happened to that child.”
Alvarado was initially turned in to border patrol, but when investigators couldn’t match what she said with the evidence, Cameron county officials arrested her. She is charged with a 2nd degree felony injury to a child.
“Who would do something like that? That’s too hot for a baby. She must have a mental problem.
