Yadira Jazmine Martinez is the only girl out of three who drowned to turn up in the United States and be under Brownsville’s jurisdiction. An autopsy conducted by dr. “The cause of death may be amended to a more specific cause if further investigative information is made available to this office.”
Which in this case came in the form of an eyewitness testimony from a 4th female, Alma Cruz. She alleges that the first two girls, while playing in the river began to struggle, which prompted young Martinez to attempt a rescue.
