Sources say that a suspected illegal immigrant threw a rock at the agent around 10:30PM Wednesday night.
According to the Border Patrol eight to ten people were spotted crossing the river into Brownsville. When agents approached the group, one of the people started throwing rocks at them. The injured agent was struck on the head and knocked to the ground. A second agent opened fire, but nobody was hit. The suspected undocumented immigrants fled back to Mexico.
