Assistant band director arrested for child pornography

We go now to the Cameron County where the district attorney’s office special operations group arrested a high school teacher for child pornography
35 year-old Eduardo Mendez from Harlingen, faced charges of possession and promotion of child pornography. Mendez worked as an assistant band director at the PSJA memorial high school and was arrested at his work place this afternoon.
A search warrant was executed at Mendez’s residence where two computers were seized. Preliminary investigation indicates that Mendez was found to be in possession of child pornography images
This case originated from immigration and customs enforcement cyber-crimes division and was adopted by the Cameron county district attorney’s office where the special operations group continued its investigation.
Mendez’s bond was set at 200 thousand dollars. If found guilty, he could spend up to 10 years in prison.
