The annual statewide convention hosted by the Rio Grande valley crime stoppers coalition was open to the public today; here more than 250 citizens from across Texas attended the state conference in the McAllen convention center.
They attended workshops for education and training, to promote crime stoppers in the community, to learn how to use social media for crime stoppers, and to become familiar with law enforcement duties and responsibilities.
Texas crime stoppers, is a non-profit organization that offers education, training, and resources to law enforcement agencies and the general public, it is comprised of organizations from across the state of Texas, such as the Rio Grande valley crime stoppers coalition.
Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies will be on hand at law enforcement day to address the public in the exhibit hall. Helicopters and vehicles and equipment used to keep our communities safe will also be on display.
