Alleged Smuggler Caught While Sipping Gatorade

An alleged drug smuggler runs from police but doesn’t get too far. Officers caught him as he stopped to get a sports drink at a local convenience store. Police arrested Jorge Armando Garza after he allegedly crashed a van full of marijuana into a parked boat late Monday afternoon. Garza was driving a Honda Odyssey minivan not wearing his seat belt when officers tried to stop him and he refused. He bailed out of the van moments later. Officers found 714lbs. of marijuana inside.
