Alleged Rapist Behind Bars

A 28-year-old man has been arrested for sexually abusing a 5-year-old relative. According to police records, Faustino Lozano Jr. would rape the young girl when she visited her aunt’ house, apparently on a daily basis. After which, Lozano would clean the girl using baby wipes.

“The five year old claims that Mr. Lozano would inappropriately touch her. The child was taken to child protective services division where she was interviewed and where she said he would touch her. Mr. Lozano was charged with two counts, aggravated sexual assault of a child and continuous sexual abuse of a child and is being held on a $1 million dollar bond.

Lozano was arrested on Saturday and arraigned earlier this week in the Donna municipal court meanwhile; the victim was taken to the child advocacy center known as Estrella’s house in Edinburg. Lieutenant Suarez commends the courage of both women as a key factor in stopping this abuse.

“Its very tough but for us in this case the child made an outcry to her aunt and her aunt told the mother. The mother told us to stop this before it would continue on, said the Lieutenant”

Relatives have informed police the victim’s mother had a case with the state’s child protective services division because the child had contracted an S.T.D.
