Vicki Gonzalez is an anchor for FOX2 News at 9PM every weeknight.
Vicki was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her broadcast journalism career began at the University of California, Berkeley while interning at KGO-TV in San Francisco.
Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, Vicki took her skills back to L.A. working as an Online News Producer for KABC-TV- the #1 station in Southern California. She helped catapult the website to #1 on Facebook and Twitter out of every local news station in the country..
Outside of KABC, she spent her time in front of the camera as an anchor and reporter for cable stations across Southern California.
Vicki began calling FOX2 home in March 2012, producing and co-anchoring the 9PM newscast.
Vicki is proud of her Mexican, Japanese, and English heritage. On her free time she enjoys long-distance running (finished the Honolulu Marathon!), and any activity that allows her to challenge her inner-athlete. A huge “foodie” with a never-ending sweet tooth, if she isn’t at home trying out a new recipe, she’s chowing down at the local restaurants.
Vicki is excited to be a new addition to the Rio Grande Valley. If you see her around, be sure and say hello!
