A truck driver is arraigned for accidentally dumping 2,500 lbs of marijuana

Juan Barrera, arrested yesterday for transporting a whopping 2,500 lbs of marijuana was arraigned today in the city of Edinburg.
Tuesday morning at around seven o clock Edinburg police responded to the flying j truck stop located on Monte Cristo rd. After receiving reports that a tractor-trailer was spilling bundles of marijuana. Upon seeing the police officers the driver of the truck attempted to flee on foot to no avail. His shipment, retrieved by the Edinburg police department weighed an approximate 2,500 pounds.
Today before judge Mary Alice Palacios, Juan Barrera the driver of the truck was arraigned on the charge of possession of marijuana. His bond was set at two hundred thousand dollars.
