A new program called fuel up to play 60 created by the NFL, national dairy council and dairy max, your local dairy council has been implemented in one of our very own middle schools. Morris middle school in McAllen is taking the initiative to get active and get healthy with a nutrient rich diet. The success of the program lies with both the students and key leaders such as Mr. Mario Reyna. Students fill out surveys and provide feedback as to what they would like to implement into their healthier diets. Several helpful and hungry 7th and 8th grade students volunteered to show us some of their favorite healthy snacks. Fox 2 news would like to congratulate Morris middle school as they are ranked 12th in the nation within the program.
