A new study says something with no fat at all may actually increase your risk. Boston University doctors have found sugar-sweetened drinks… Like juices and soda… Appear to increase the risk of type two diabetes, especially if you’re not getting your fruits and veggies.
What’s more — the researchers found no link between a low fat diet and any changes to your risk.
The study published in the journal “archives of internal medicine” looked at the diets of nearly forty-four thousand African American women.
After ten years, those who drank the most sugary sodas and fruits drinks were more likely to develop diabetes. Two soft drinks a day equaled a twenty-four percent diabetes risk increase.
