A cure for Alzheimer’s?

The former president of the french academy of sciences — Etienne-Emile Baulieu — says scientists have discovered a protein molecule that may be the key to a cure.

It’s called FKBP52, And he says it fights one of the agents that attacks nervous cell tissue, which can cause Alzheimer’s.

But more research is needed… And Baulieu is calling fore more money to fund it.

The findings appear in the journal “Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Baulieu is best known for his work creating the abortion drug, RU486.
