September 11, 2001 has new meaning. It is now known as a
National Day of Service and Remembrance. In the Rio Grande
Valley, students from PSJA High School took a moment to
honor those who lost their lives eight years ago in what is
said to be the worst terrorist attack on American soil.
With flags flown at half staff, police officers, fire
fighters, soldiers, public officials along with students
and community members paid tribute to those people who
perished and the families that still exist, the anniversary
was declared a day of service for the first time this year
to honor the spirit of those who rushed to the burning
towers to save lives a constant reminder to never forget we
stand united as one.
