Man Charged With Shooting Sister’s Boyfriend In Face

Allegedly at the hands of his girlfriend’s brother. 22-year-old Derek De La Rosa was arraigned in a Pharr courtroom today. Prosecutors say on Saturday, he opened fire on his sister’s boyfriend. 18-year-old David Reyes on the 500-block of Golden Drive. Authorities say Reyes was air-lifted to a hospital in San Antonio, and is listed in stable, but critical condition. De La Rosa was issued a 100-thousand dollar bond the motive for the shooting is under investigation.
