Alleged Drunk Driver Crashes Into Motorcyclist, Victim Remains In Critical Condition

In McAllen the dangers of driving while intoxicated became all too real this weekend. After two separate crashes sent several people to the hospital. 28-year-old mission resident Ulises Rodriguez was charged with intoxication assault. Authorities say his pickup truck crashed into a motorcyclist of 23-rd street and Trenton road at around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital, and is in critical but stable condition. Rodriguez was issued a 50-thousand dollar bond.
