Mexico: 9-Year-Old Gives Birth

Turning to a disturbing case of alleged child sex abuse, in Mexico, a 9-year-old girl gave birth to a baby and the search is on for the father.

The girl gave birth last week at a hospital in the city of Guadalajara, Mexican officials say they’re looking for a 17-year-old boy who might be the father.

He is believed to live in the same neighborhood as the 9-year-old.

If paternity is proven, he can face child sex abuse charges.

Both the girl and baby are at home, and are said to be doing well.
