Good evening folks, there are many dastardly deeds committed by questionable characters down here in the valley but perhaps one crime that goes all too often unreported overdue library books. The brand new McAllen library, that cool fountain, barrels upon barrels of book, a decadence of DVDs, a mess of music, all yours for the taking, as long as you bring it back, and if you don’t? Kate Horan is the McAllen library director. The McAllen library has had a history of very generous borrowing policies, but as the saying you give em an inch and they rack up over 700 thousand dollars in overdue fines? who are these people? I went in search of those responsible And how does this happen? It all comes down to all us returning what is rightfully not ours. And the McAllen library accepts cash or check for fines and if you need to return an item you don’t have to return it to the branch you got it from. You can return any item to the main, Palm View or Lark Branches. And in the interest of full disclosure I owe the McAllen library about 15 dollars in fines which I plan on paying soon and I think all those guilty out there should join me.
